The Artist

Hey everyone, my name is Brayden Pfister and I am a Landscape Photographer currently based in Flagstaff, Arizona where I attend college. At the moment I am completing a Bachelor's degree in photography at Northern Arizona University. I have been shooting for over six years and have a great passion for the art. I was raised in a military family; The Coast Guard transferred my family about every four years and I have lived in Alaska, Hawaii, California and now Arizona!

While I lived in Hawaii I fell in love with images of ocean shorebreak and wanted nothing more than to try it myself. Shortly after we got to Oahu in 2016 I got my first camera (a GoPro) and began taking my own shorebreak images and I've been shooting ever since. My upbringing in such naturally beautiful places fostered my deep appreciation and fascination with nature. My love of the outdoors and adventure is what has helped develop my style of photography. I make my images with the purpose to present these places to the world in all their glory. I would feel burdened to experience these incredible places and not be able to communicate the true beauty and power of those moments.

I spend all my spare time exploring nature and finding incredible scenes to photograph. While I am in these beautiful landscapes I take ample time to see and understand the dynamics of a scene in order to craft my composition into something that expresses its depth. My goal is to begin leading landscape photography workshops around the country and the world. Using my passion to teach others how to effectively capture these moments too. Photography has given me goals, it has kept me motivated, and it has provided me peace of mind whenever I need it. Please enjoy my images and contact me for all inquiries.
